Mizan’s early life was marked by his passion for sports, particularly hockey. He was the captain of the Dhaka Abahani LTD hockey team in Bangladesh, playing professionally for nine years. His leadership and skills on the field earned him numerous accolades, establishing him as a respected athlete in the sport. This experience, combined with his determination and commitment, would later influence his approach to business and community service.
After relocating to the UK, Mizan embarked on a career in the catering business. He worked hard to establish himself, eventually becoming the Managing Director of Adnan’s Hyde Limited, a well-known restaurant in the area. Over the course of more than 28 years, he also became the proprietor of Mizan Property Solution, further expanding his business portfolio. His entrepreneurial spirit has helped him build a strong foundation for his family while contributing to the local economy.
In addition to his success in business, Mizan has been deeply involved in philanthropic work, particularly in healthcare and community development. In 2007, he founded the Just Help Foundation, a UK-registered charity that focuses on supporting various causes, particularly in Bangladesh. One of his most notable achievements through the foundation was the establishment of the Just Help Eye Hospital in Sylhet, which provides crucial eye care to underserved communities. In 2014, the hospital became part of a joint management project with the Rotary Club of Sylhet Pride and was renamed the Just Help Sylhet Pride Rotary Eye Hospital. This collaboration has enabled the hospital to expand its services and reach even more people in need.
Mizan has also been an active member of several business and community organizations.
